Why won't the Anti-Virus download for me?

I’m went on the AVG site to download the free anti-virus and spyware but when the window tries to open it,all it does is spot and says that the connection was restarted or something like that……this comuter on mine really needs protection and I don’t have any money to buy any….Please help! http://bit.ly/oJSnBS
