How do you extract iPhone address book data from a backup?

I recently got rid of my 8 gb iPhone and I was wondering if there was anyway to open/extract my address book from a backup file in Itunes so that I can add my contacts to my new phone. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks http://bit.ly/mOTGib
