If Simon Cowell quit American Idol how would this effect its ratings?

Just asking for your oppinion. IMO i think ALOT of ppl would tune in to watch the next episode to see who they get to replace him or just to see how it would be without him but then once they realize its not the same they’ll never watch it? http://bit.ly/oNG752
