What anti virus should i get???

Hi, all i have got avg 7.x now i need to upgrade to 8.x but i have read reviews saying it uses more system reasources. What do you guys think, is there anything better that uses less resources? Thank you please DO NOT say norton, i will never go there, not worth it. http://bit.ly/mPQEH1
